Take a self-guided tour of the mystical gnome world of the mountain village and if you’re lucky catch a glimpse of resident Mt Buller gnomes, learn about their favourite places to play as well as some interesting facts about the gnome way of life.
Get a copy of the Mt Buller Gnome Roam keepsake booklet available from Alpine Central or here online.
Some of our favourites include a hike to the Mt Buller Summit on the Summit Nature Walk, maybe an adventure down Little Buller Spur ski run and climb Little Mount Buller. Why not visit Mt Stirling and experience the breathtaking view back toward Mt Buller?!
Dip your feet in the refreshing waters of the Delatite River after a mountain bike ride or walk, or maybe cast a line in the river and see what you catch.
There is free public camping in the Buller Creek camping zone immediately off the Mt Buller Tourist Road.
Due to current health measures to keep Victorian’s safe, we are still in the process of confirming all of our events and operations for the 2020-21 season. We will post updates and additional activities happening this weekend here as we confirm.
There is a range of accommodation options available on Mt Buller including self-contained apartments, comfortable lodges and hostel style beds. Visit the accommodation section or call 1300 278 483 .

As the highest dragon boat event in Australia (approximately 1,600 metres above sea level), the Falls Creek Dragon Boat Regatta has been held at Rocky Valley lake for over a decade now, bringing together visitors, residents and dragon boat enthusiasts from all over to compete and join in the festivities.
The grassy banks of Rocky Valley Lake are a beautiful place to spend the day with the family and soak in the excitement of the races. On the foreshore, there will be food and drinks available, plus on Saturday night the action continues with post-race dinners and parties throughout the village.
If you have not paddled in a dragon boat before there is no need to worry as a range of safety and skills training sessions will ensure you are ready to race. The Victorian Dragon Boat Association provide experienced helms and instructors, they have paddles, boats and buoyancy vests. If you would like to join a recreational team please email.
All events are subject to change due to government coronavirus restrictions.
