The walking season lasts from early November until late May; the area is usually snow covered during the winter and early spring.

Why not take a walk up the Summit, an 8km walk out to Mt Loch or even the Dargo Loop Cross Country Trail there are never ending walks to suit all fitness levels.

You can pick up a brochure from the Mt Hotham Resort Management Board office within office hours or in the Transit Lounge over the weekend, or you can download the Hotham & Dinne Plain Brochure at the bottom of this page.

Fly Fishing

As the snow melts, sports anglers take advantage of the well stocked streams which have their origins above the snowline. The challenge of fly fishing is a peaceful distraction, taking you to some beautiful alpine settings. Fishing licenses are available from the Information Centre at Dinner Plain.
