Opening Weekend
Celebrate the official opening of the winter season with a weekend of entertainment and activities for all to enjoy.
The night sky will light up in Thredbo from 6:30pm with an amazing fireworks display
Start winter 2011 in the coolest style listening to a mix of world, folk, roots and traditional music. This 4 day festival at Perisher is packed with live music from Christine Anu, Ash Grunwalk, The Sunny Cowgirls and Eric Bogle.
Thredbo Freeride Series Commences
The first event for 2011 will be the rails comp. Great events all season, so watch out for more.

In Perisher and Thredbo watch primary and secondary school children from the Northern Region of NSW in all skiing and snowboarding disciplines, as they vie for selection for the State championships.

'Tube My Ride'
Grab a mate and get a camera! Skiers and boarders are invited to take on the PlayStation Slopestyle course on Front Valley The twist is that a run (can be multiple runs pieced together) is to be captured on film and edited into a slick video of 3 minutes with a Coca-Cola sign in the clip (a must). Coke signage will be set up from this weekend for filming.
